Welcome to the LS2 Annual Meeting 2015 in Zürich!
For more than 15 years, the LS² Annual Meeting brings together life scientists from all career stages and numerous disciplines as well as industry partners from all over the world.
During 2 days, this meeting provides the possibility to explore cutting-edge science in various presentations evolving around the topic "Light: From the basis of life to life science technologies". Experience the latest technologies from a wide array of life sciences companies, enlargen your network and meet old friends and colleagues. Several career development sessions offer the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills.
Alongside our program of renowned international speakers, the LS² member and two guest societies will present their most recent work in specific symposia. For those wishing to exhibit a poster or present a short talk at the event, please submit your abstracts. The best posters will be awarded.

Friedrich Miescher Award Winner Announced
The Friedrich Miescher Award winner of this year is Prof. Dr. Martin Jinek from the University of Zurich.
Prof. Dr. Jinek investigates molecular mechanisms influencing cell regulations via protein-RNA interactions. Find out more about his research here
He will present his research in the award session on Friday (16.15) in the talk entitled "Cutting DNA with the help of RNA: the future of genome engineering"
Media Training
On the 29th of January we are offering a FREE 4hr media training (13.30-17.30) to conference participants, brought to you by the Basel Declaration Society. There are only 15 places available, so if you are interested please contact anna.brandenburg@ls2.ch
Attention Bachelor and Master Students!
We will reimburse the 20 first registered BSc and MSc for their travel and accomodation expenses (up to 200 CHF). If you are one of the lucky students, we will send you an e-mail with more information concerning the reimbursement process.
