What an incredible few days at the LS2 Annual Meeting 2026 in Zurich!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors for such a vibrant and inspiring gathering of the Swiss life sciences community. Bringing together researchers from across Switzerland and beyond, the meeting truly embodied the spirit of collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange.

Under the theme, “Fueling Life Across Scales,” we explored how energy drives biological processes from molecules to whole organisms. We were honored by outstanding keynote lectures from Sarah-Maria Fendt, Heidi McBride, and Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz, whose insights into metabolism, mitochondria, cancer biology, and advanced imaging sparked engaging discussions throughout the conference.

With 11 scientific symposia, dozens of invited and selected talks, Lelio Orci and FMA laureate lectures, interactive poster sessions, the PIOT competition, the Young Scientist Satellite, and a dynamic industry exhibition, the program showcased the breadth and excellence of life sciences research. A special thank you to the young researchers who shared their work and contributed fresh perspectives to the discussions!

We hope everyone had a rewarding and enjoyable meeting filled with new ideas, meaningful connections, and inspiration for future collaborations.

Future Scientists at AM2026

We were honored to be joined by laureates of multiple Swiss contests:

Mara Robinson and Victoria Jael Moser from the National Contest, Raphael Burgener, Lukas Müller, Druv Sharma and Ruben Kastelic from the Biology Olympiad and Joshua Tran from the Geneva Chemistry and Biochemistry Days 2026.

LS2 aims to do both - promote young scientists and promote Life Sciences to young people and general public. This multi-year collaboration with various student contests allows future scientists to attend our Annual Meeting, getting their first conference experience and expanding their network.

Congratulations on your achievements! Our team wishes you all the best for your future and hopes to see you again at our meetings!
